Japanese Hanafuda cards  
I have a fascination with all things Japanese. Years ago I bought a very pretty deck of cards in a Japaneses gift shop. I had no idea what they were but I loved the art and that was good enough, it didn't matter that I had no idea of how to play with them, since the instructions were in Japanese.. Then I bought Club House games for the Nintendo DS it was a bundle of mini games. One of those games was Koi Koi a game played with the Hanafuda deck I bought all those years ago.. Now that I found what these cards are and have learned one game to play with them, I understand them much better. There used to be many different styles of Hanafuda Decks, but now most are based on the basic deck made by Nintendo... I am designing my own deck.. Possibly 2 decks, a simple one and a detailed one... here is a peek at what I am working on
